The P20 lab members are examining the relationship between perfection and Math self-efficacy using data collected from students in seven Fayette County Public Schools (3 elementary, 4 middle) in seven waves (N ~ 2,500). Surveys were administered in the domains of reading and mathematics and include many measures of academic motivation. Achievement scores and teacher ratings were also collected. This longitudinal study, conducted in Kentucky schools, will investigate how student and teacher motivation changes over time across the transition from elementary to middle school.
